Celebrity hairdresser Martyn Holmes, one of the judges on Channel 5 Star’s Extreme Hair Wars, recently paid a visit to Abingdon and Witney College where he demonstrated the Lee Stafford Twisted Tong recipe.
Trainers and students were given a taste of what to expect when they were treated to a special viewing of the series final ahead of the session. He was also able to reveal the show has been booked for a second series.
Martyn has been a hairdresser for over 30 years. He started his career in 1983 and eventually found himself joining Lee at his first salon. After working alongside Lee for almost ten years Martyn opened his own salon, Strangeways in Leigh on Sea, which is still a centre of hairdressing excellence today.
The Students participated in a ‘see do’ session and had time to tap into Martyn’s extensive knowledge and ask questions about his career and of course the TV show.
Abingdon and Witney College’s Siân Cound, Head of Faculty: Service Industries said, “Martyn’s event was excellent and the vibe in the salon was a pleasure to watch and the students loved it."
